Acting Out for Good Presents Seussical

Oh the thinks you can think! Acting Out for Good presents Seussical, the musical based on the works of the beloved Dr. Seuss. A boy named Jojo has a "Think" of the Jungle of Nool, where Horton the elephant is the only one who hears a small cry for help from the Whos, tiny people whose whole town fits on a speck of dust on a clover. Horton vows to protect them even though no one else in the jungle believes they're real. How will he find them when the clover is stolen and thrown in a huge clover patch, and then he's tricked by Mayzie LaBird into a promise to sit on her egg for what he thought would be an afternoon but turns into weeks? Maybe he needs the help of his lovesick next-door neighbor, Gertrude McFuzz. Through it all, the Cat in the Hat makes mischief, but also helps Jojo realize that being a dreamer is a good way to be.

As part of Acting Out's mission to do good in our community, one performance at a time, proceeds from the box office will be donated to the Friends of the Washington Street Library in Cumberland, MD, to support programs benefiting its patrons.
